BUTTER LONDON: BUY ONE, GET ONE FREE!!!

So I was trying to do a "NO BUY" nail polish for the month of September, but I couldn't resist when ULTA had their butter london nail polishes: buy one get one free!. If you don't know butter london is a more expensive nail polish brand; they retail for $14. You very rarely catch this polish on sale! I had to break my no buy for september and go out and purchase a few bottles for myself.

Butter london also came out with a NEW fall line and they had a few colors I wanted to try out. I have pictures of the colors I picked up. I got four colors for the price of $28, when I would've paid $56, so I saved a total of $28. AMAZING!!!!!

BELOW ARE THE COLORS I PICKED UP: (LEFT TO RIGHT) Gobsmacked, Lovely Jubbly, Knackered, Doggy Barnett.

Sparkle Candy Apple Nails

I am so in love with this duo!. What I used to achieve this look is the china glaze-Heli-Yum, which retails for about $6, & the love and beauty-Red/Multi Glitter  (which can be purchased from forever 21, for ONLY $2.80). This duo is so eye catching and its a GREAT way to transition your nails from summer to fall! Heli-Yum looks like a red based pink, but adding the gorgeous glitter polish on top makes it look so Beautiful, and gives your nails such amazing sparkle & that EXTRA POP!

CIATE NAIL ART REVIEW

I ended up breaking down and I decided to invest in the $25 ciate "caviar nail art" kit from Sephora.com. I know there are cheaper alternatives, but I wanted to be able to try this amazing kit, I also picked up two cheaper alternatives (which you will be able to read about at the bottom of this blog).

The kit is packaged really well, and the container is so GORGEOUS and eye catching! Who can resist this beautiful kit? I know I couldn't!

I purchased the rainbow kit, they only have three its to choose from. The rainbow kit comes with rainbow caviar beads, and a gorgeous baby pink base color; in the color "strawberry milkshake"

The rainbow caviar beads (below)
I thought I would end up using all of my beads after a couple manicures, but after I used this bottle for my accent nails-I still had over 95% of the bottle left. This kit is definitely worth the money, and it will last you for months!

Strawberry milkshake *baby pink base* (below)
the Application of the ciate nail polish was amazing, it was very opaque-it only took two coats. This nail polish does dry rather fast.

I decided I only wanted to decorate one of my nails with the caviar beads, being that they are expensive, and since it was my first time trying it out I wasn't sure if it was going to last as long as I would like them to if I was to put them on all of my nails. It is now day three and they are still lasting!!! Only a few of the beads have fallen off, nothing that you are able to notice! I give this kit a A+. I would definitely recommend it!

I also wanted to try the cheaper alternative as well, so I can compare them for you guys so you guys will know if this ciate kit from Sephora is definitely worth the money, and the hype. I did purchase the cheaper set which is just a set of 12 different color micro-beads from Michael's which only cost me $14. I did use my 20% off coupon. I also purchased an even cheaper one off ebay from a international seller for only $3. The only one ive used so far was this ciate kit. I will be doing another blog post that will be comparing the three with my honest opinions. Please stay tunned for the update!

Homemade Nail Polish Reviews

So i recently just discovered homemade nail polish. I ordered a few bottles off of etsy.com. You would think this type of nail polish would be fairly cheap, but its just about the same price as drugstore nail polishes. I wasn't to thrilled about that, but after trying out two of the colors I have purchased I can say they are worth every penny! They came in cute little 5ML bottles, and I was able to get 4 bottles for $20. Below you will see swatches of two of the colors I recently purchased. Please leave comments letting me know your thoughts...:-)

First we have the color "witchy woman" (a jelly black base (not opaque) with multi colored glitter)
I had to wear a black base coat under this color for the glitter to really pay off. All I used for the black base was sinful colors "black"

Next we have Twilight Sparkle, which I believe is my favorite. Its a very gorgeous lilac purple color, with chunky glitter, the glitter is various sizes and colors & the base is very buildable and opaque, but I wanted the color to really pop so I ended up pairing it up with Essie "Love & Acceptance" as the base color. Which one do you like better?
